Domestic COVID-19 New Cases 114... Three Consecutive Days of Triple Digits (Update)

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 30th, 114 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were identified in South Korea. This marks three consecutive days of triple-digit cases, following 103 on the 28th and 125 on the 29th.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (CDSCH) for COVID-19, as of midnight on the day, there were 93 locally transmitted cases and 21 imported cases. The total number of confirmed cases rose to 26,385.
Among the local cases, 47 were in Seoul, 23 in Gyeonggi, and 2 in Incheon, totaling 72 cases in the metropolitan area. Other cases included 10 in Daegu, 6 in Gangwon, 3 in Chungnam, and 1 each in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam.
Of the 21 imported cases, 4 were detected during quarantine, and the remaining 17 were confirmed in the community. Eleven were Korean nationals and 10 were foreigners. The countries of origin for the imported cases were the United States with 9 cases, the Philippines and Uzbekistan with 3 cases each, Poland with 2 cases, and Russia, India, Turkey, and Hungary with 1 case each.

The number of patients who have recovered and been released from isolation increased by 59 to 24,227. One death was reported among confirmed cases, raising the total death toll from 462 to 463.
