Gibo Signs Business Agreement with Sejong University and Tech Valley
Support for Professor and Researcher Startups
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 30th that it signed a business agreement with Sejong University to establish a 'University Technology Commercialization Support Platform (U-TECH Valley)' to promote startups by high-tech talents such as professors and researchers.
With this agreement, the number of Tech Valley partner universities has increased to a total of 74. Sejong University, which specializes in future new materials, SW·AI·data analysis fields, is expected to further activate technology startups through Kibo's Tech Valley platform.
According to the agreement, Sejong University will recommend excellent startup companies within the university to Kibo, and Kibo will provide comprehensive support including financial support such as guarantees and investments, as well as non-financial support such as consulting, technology transfer, and IPO support to help successful startups by outstanding professionals.

Kim Young-chun, a director at Kibo, said, "To respond to the new changes brought about by COVID-19 and to seize a future that no one has experienced, excellent university technologies must be commercialized to create new industries," adding, "We are preparing a demo day where Tech Valley companies and investors can meet so that Tech Valley companies based on creative ideas and excellent technology can attract not only guarantee support but also private investment."
