Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Korea Emerson Sign Voluntary Agreement on 'Gender-Balanced Inclusive Growth'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 29th that Korea Emerson will sign a voluntary agreement for a gender-balanced inclusive growth partnership to expand female executives and managers.
On the occasion of this agreement ceremony, Korea Emerson plans to strategically expand the recruitment of female talent in inactive job sectors such as the factory automation division and increase the proportion of female executives to 20% and female managers to 28% by 2023.
Chung Chen-hwai, CEO of Korea Emerson, said, "Korea Emerson has been striving to nurture female talent and promote a culture of diversity respect through in-house women's autonomous organization (Women In STEM), unconscious bias management, and flexible work system operation," adding, "We will continue to provide interest and support."

Minister Lee Jung-ok emphasized, "Since the factory automation and control equipment sector is expected to grow due to the convergence of manufacturing and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), it is necessary to actively promote the advancement and nurturing of female talent."
