On the 29th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it held the 15th Urban and Architectural Joint Committee meeting and "approved with modifications" the district unit plan decision and detailed development plan decision for the special planning zone in the area of 171-2, Gaebong-dong, near Gaebong Station.
The site is located near Gaebong Station, with the Seoul Southern Correctional Facility site to the north and the Seoul Gaebong Corporate Rental Housing Promotion District to the west, where large-scale residential complexes are planned to be occupied in the surrounding area. Through this district unit plan change, the city plans to open long-delayed roads in the area and construct a mixed-use building with four basement floors and 20 floors above ground. This development plan was proposed by local residents to combine commercial and residential functions and promote street activation.
