According to Yeosu Coast Guard on the 28th, during its own maritime criminal activities under the '2020 Second Half Marine Safety Violation Special Crackdown Plan,' on the 27th, the captain B (male, 52 years old) of fishing vessel A (registered in Goheung, 16 tons), operating near Bongrae-myeon, Goheung-gun, was caught for violating the Ship Crew Act.
B is suspected of operating vessel A without a maritime officer license, and Yeosu Coast Guard had previously detected a total of four cases of unlicensed maritime officer operation in October.
Also, on the 13th, the owner D (male, 49 years old) of fishing vessel C (registered in Goheung, 8.55 tons), operating near Dohwa-myeon, Goheung-gun, was caught for violating the Fishing Vessel Act and is under investigation. D is suspected of operating with more crew onboard than the maximum number allowed on the fishing vessel inspection certificate.
