Pukyong National University Hosts the 8th Pan-Pacific International Academic Conference
On the 29th at Centum Hotel, Haeundae, Busan... Over 20 scholars from 5 countries participate on the theme 'Post-COVID World'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Institute of Global Area Studies at Pukyong National University’s Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (Director Park Sang-hyun, Professor of International Area Studies) will hold the 8th Trans-Pacific International Conference on October 29 at 9 a.m. at the Emerald Hall of Centum Hotel in Haeundae, Busan.
This international conference, organized under the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute Support Project by the National Research Foundation of Korea and the National University Promotion Project, will be held under the theme “The world after COVID-19.”
About 20 scholars from five Trans-Pacific countries including Korea, the United States, and Mexico will participate to present and discuss topics related to the global spread of COVID-19.
The conference will be conducted through presentations and discussions across five sessions: △ City and Culture: Power, Place, and Possibilities in Global Cities △ International Development and Cooperation △ Cultural Diversity and Sustainability △ Politics, Economics & Sociality in the Global and Area Studies.
