Seven Eleven's 'Seven Farm' Showcases Local Premium Sweet Potatoes and Eggs
New April Regional Premium Agricultural Products Exclusive Menu 'Seven Farm' Established
7 Products, Total Sales Volume of 80 Tons Achieved
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Seven Eleven announced on the 28th that it will offer the popular winter snack "Goguma" (sweet potato) and the representative ingredient "gyeran" (eggs) through "Seven Farm," a sales channel for excellent local agricultural products.
Seven Eleven established the "Seven Farm" menu within its mobile app (Seven App) last April and has been introducing excellent local agricultural products to consumers every month. Starting with "Yeongcheon Peeled Garlic" in April, a total of seven products have been introduced through Seven Farm so far, recording sales volume of up to 80 tons, establishing itself as a representative differentiated product corner.
The sweet potatoes sold this time are products cultivated in Jeonnam Yeongam and Muan, the representative sweet potato production areas in Korea, known as "Honey Sweet Potatoes" with high sugar content. Two types are prepared: a small 700g (4,800 KRW) package targeting 1-2 person households and a large 1.5kg (8,900 KRW) package sufficient for a family of four. The representative national ingredient, eggs, are also sold. The product prepared by Seven Eleven is Nonghyup's "Yunnanhui Good Grade 1 Eggs (Special Grade, 15 pieces, 4,200 KRW)."
Seven Eleven cited ethical consumption, price competitiveness, and excellent quality as the main reasons for Seven Farm's popularity. It also analyzed that the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has normalized staying at home and nearby shopping, increasing the number of consumers purchasing fresh products such as fruits and vegetables at nearby convenience stores.
To purchase from Seven Farm, access the Seven App mobile app, go to the "Reservation Order" menu, select the "Seven Farm" corner, reserve the product, and choose the desired store and date for pickup. When the ordered product arrives at the selected store, a product exchange voucher message is sent to the customer, who can then visit the store to receive the product.
