Kia Motors Wins Global Standard Management Award for 3 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kia Motors announced on the 27th that it won the Grand Prize in the Sustainable Management Report category at the ‘2020 Global Standard Management Awards’ ceremony hosted by the Korea Management Certification Institute.
The Global Standard Management Awards, held that day at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, is an award presented by the Korea Management Certification Institute to select outstanding companies in sustainability across seven categories related to corporate strategy, future value, products, and services management systems.
The Sustainable Management Award is given to companies that published sustainability reports in the past year, evaluated on the quality of the report and communication effectiveness based on ▲materiality ▲comprehensibility ▲reliability. In this evaluation, Kia Motors achieved the highest score in the category with a total of 89.71 points (Materiality 91.43, Comprehensibility 90.00, Reliability 85.71), winning the grand prize for the third consecutive year.
In particular, Kia received excellent evaluations in the importance of information and comprehensibility by effectively conveying future strategies and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) related achievements.
