The 'Blended Vocational Education Expo' submitted by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education was selected as an excellent case in the 'Participation and Social Value' category through expert evaluation among 845 cases submitted by institutions nationwide. This expo, held on July 15-16 at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center, boldly departed from the traditional offline attendance method and was organized as the country's first blended expo.
At that time, the blended expo's talk concert, admissions promotion hall, and startup biz school hall were broadcast live through on-site interviews, attracting about 50,000 viewers. At the on-site recruitment hall conducted offline, about 50 companies participated, hiring a total of 654 vocational high school students after on-site interviews?370 on the first day and 284 on the second day.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik emphasized, "This expo was held as the country's first blended expo amid the difficult situation caused by COVID-19, presenting a pioneering model nationwide," adding, "Next year, based on this year's experience and know-how, we will present an even more complete expo."
