SG Signs Contract for 5.8 Billion KRW Pavement Construction at Gimpo International Airport

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Asphalt and ready-mixed concrete manufacturer SG announced on the 26th that it has signed a contract to undertake a 5.8 billion KRW international apron concrete paving project at Gimpo International Airport.
This project involves repaving the aging international apron at Gimpo International Airport located at 111 Haneulgil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The total project cost is 14.2 billion KRW, and the contract amount of 5.8 billion KRW corresponds to the first phase of the paving work.
An official from SG’s construction division stated, “We secured the contract by demonstrating SG’s excellent paving construction capabilities and comprehensive competitiveness, including ownership of the latest concrete paving equipment such as the SP-1600 and SP-1200,” adding, “We also expect to win the contract for the second phase of the project, valued at approximately 8.4 billion KRW.”

He added, “This paving work began in October 2020 and is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2021.”
