North Korea: "North Korea-China Relations Are Special and Strong Friendship"... Daily External Display
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] On the 25th, North Korea published a special article in the Workers' Party organ Rodong Sinmun to mark the 70th anniversary of China's participation in the Korean War, expressing its determination to further develop North Korea-China relations.
In a front-page editorial titled "The heroic deeds of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs will shine forever along with the history of Korea-China friendship," Rodong Sinmun stated, "At this historic moment when a bright future is unfolding on the journey of Korea-China friendship, the peoples of the two countries are meaningfully commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army's participation in the Korean front," emphasizing its significance.
It continued, "The participation of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army in the Korean front was a clear demonstration of the fighting friendship and comradely cooperation of the peoples of Korea and China, united by a shared destiny," and asserted, "Korea-China relations are a unique and solid friendship that has shown great strength during severe trials, unprecedented in history."
Furthermore, it declared, "Our Party and people have an unwavering will to develop Korea-China friendship into a relationship envied by the world and to vigorously advance the socialist cause with the power of friendship and unity."
It also emphasized, "No matter what storms and trials come, we will always firmly join hands with the Chinese Party, government, and people on the path to defend and advance socialism, and we will continue efforts to open a comprehensive new era of Korea-China friendship in accordance with the demands of the times."
Besides the editorial, Rodong Sinmun featured four special articles introducing the heroic deeds of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army during their participation and the traditional Korea-China friendship.
