Gwangju Dong-gu Opens Urban Regeneration New Deal Field Support Center
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 23rd that on the 22nd, it held the opening ceremony of the Seonam-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Field Support Center, which will serve as the field base for the urban regeneration New Deal project under the slogan "A New Leap Together! Creation of Seonam-dong Printing Culture Village."
The opening ceremony was attended by about 100 people, including Mayor Im Taek of Dong-gu, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, and residents.
At the resident-led Urban Regeneration Residents' Council inaugural general meeting held after the opening ceremony, the council was officially launched along with the founding declaration.
Based on the Urban Regeneration Special Act, the Field Support Center is an intermediate support organization overseeing the urban regeneration project, supporting tasks such as ▲governance establishment ▲acting as a bridge between residents ▲implementation, operation, and management of urban regeneration projects ▲operation of educational programs.
The "Seonam-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Project" is a Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport project that will be carried out over five years with a total of 14 detailed projects, including ▲creation of a printing academy ▲establishment of an Asian food platform ▲support for printing urban regeneration companies (CRC) startups ▲construction of public parking lots ▲creation of a printing-themed street.
