BMW Korea Launches 3 Limited Edition Models to Celebrate 25th Anniversary
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] BMW Korea is celebrating its 25th anniversary by launching three limited edition models exclusively online in October. These models will be available for purchase through BMW's online sales channel starting at 2:05 PM on the 26th.
The October lineup includes ▲630i xDrive BMW Korea 25th Anniversary World Premiere Edition ▲M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Lime Rock Gray Edition ▲M340i xDrive Touring BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition, totaling three models.
630i xDrive BMW Korea 25th Anniversary World Premiere Edition
BMW Korea will first release the 630i xDrive BMW Korea 25th Anniversary World Premiere Edition in a limited run of 25 units. This model commemorates the world premiere event of the new 6 Series Gran Turismo held in Korea last May.
The exterior features a Bernina Gray color that emits a golden hue depending on the angle of light and 20-inch wheels, while the interior is adorned with ivory-colored Nappa leather to maximize luxury. Additionally, premium features such as the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, rear seat and rear window sunblinds have been added to emphasize the exclusivity of this limited edition model.
Under the hood, it is equipped with a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine delivering a maximum output of 258 horsepower and a peak torque of 40.8 kg·m, providing both a lively driving experience and a quiet ride. The price of the 630i xDrive BMW Korea 25th Anniversary World Premiere Edition is 96.9 million KRW.
M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Lime Rock Gray Edition
The M Performance model, 'M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Lime Rock Gray Edition,' will also be released in a limited quantity of 25 units.
The exterior of this model features the 'Lime Rock Gray' color, derived from the state of Connecticut in the United States, famous for its natural terrain circuit and graceful natural scenery. It is characterized by the bright atmosphere and color tone unique to limestone (lime rock).
Since this color is named after a motorsport circuit, it has been exclusively used on ultra-high-performance models such as the BMW M4 CS and is rarely applied to only a few models domestically, making it highly rare.
The front bumper lower section is equipped with a black high-gloss front attachment, and the rear features a carbon fiber rear spoiler and diffuser to emphasize a sporty atmosphere. Inside, a bright Oyster color and M seat belts are applied, and a variable M suspension is standard, allowing for both comfortable ride quality and agile driving performance.
The price of the M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Lime Rock Gray Edition is 78.6 million KRW.
M340i xDrive Touring BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition
The M340i xDrive Touring BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition will be released in a limited run of 7 units in four colors.
The M340i xDrive Touring BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition will be available in Alpine White (1 unit), Black Sapphire Metallic (2 units), Mineral Gray (1 unit), and Portimao Blue (3 units), which are popular colors favored by domestic consumers. A black high-gloss rear spoiler is standard on the rear to add a sleek feel.
The interior is decorated in Oyster or Mocha colors depending on the exterior color, and performance options such as M Sport Brakes and M Sport Differential are also applied. Additionally, as the only performance touring model in Korea, it offers a generous cargo space of up to 1,510 liters.
The limited editions based on the M340i sedan and M340i xDrive Touring are equipped with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline M TwinPower Turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 387 horsepower and a peak torque of 51.0 kg·m. The time to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.6 seconds.
With the remote engine start feature, the engine can be started or the climate control system pre-operated remotely using the vehicle key or the My BMW app on a smartphone. The BMW Digital Key is also standard, allowing door locking/unlocking and engine start using a credit card-shaped card key or an Apple iPhone.
The price of the M340i xDrive Touring BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition is 80.7 million KRW.
