View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] As of 2 p.m. on the 22nd, the Seoul Metropolitan Government issued a 'PM-10 Dust Advisory' stating that the hourly average concentration of particulate matter (PM-10) has remained above 150㎍/㎥ for 2 consecutive hours. This is the first advisory issued this fall.
The Seoul Institute of Health and Environment stated, "The dust originating from the Gobi Desert and the Inner Mongolia Plateau, along with foreign particulate matter, flowed into the Seoul area yesterday (21st), raising the concentration of particulate matter in Seoul." They urged, "Citizens with respiratory or cardiovascular diseases, the elderly, and children should refrain from going outside, and when engaging in outdoor activities or going out, please wear health masks."
