Post-COVID Era Community Care and Alternatives?
Gwangjin-gu to Host the 1st Community Security Forum on the 21st: 'Post-Corona, Community Care and Alternatives'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) held the ‘2020 1st Community Social Security Forum’ on the 21st at the district office auditorium.
Hosted by the Gwangjin-gu Community Social Security Council (Private Co-Chair Hwapyung Sunim), this forum was organized under the theme ‘Post-COVID-19, Community Care and Alternatives’ to propose alternatives that ensure a stable life for vulnerable groups within the community and provide close-knit care services in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.
The forum began with a presentation by Professor Choi Hye-ji of the Department of Social Welfare at Seoul Women’s University, moderated by Kim Kyung-jip, chairman of the Gwangjin-gu Community Social Security Council’s working committee, and chaired by Min Dong-se, director of the Social Cooperative Dowoonuri.
Following this, five panelists including Yoon Myung-ja, director of the Gwangjin-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center; Jeon Mi-young, director of Pureun Kkum Regional Child Center; Moon Ho-young, director of Neulpureun Care Center; Han Eun-kyung, director of Junggok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center; and Lee Jae-eun, head of the Welfare Planning Team at the district’s Welfare Policy Division, continued discussions on care for children, adolescents, the elderly, disabled persons, and middle-aged single-person households.
Additionally, the forum was broadcast live in real-time through the ‘Gwangjin-gu Official YouTube Channel,’ allowing both on-site and online participants to engage in Q&A and communication.
