View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] On the 21st, Heo Seong-gon, Mayor of Gimhae City, signed a business agreement at Gimhae City Hall with Cho Byung-chul, Director of the Southern Regional Forest Service, and Lee Chang-jae, Director of the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute, to establish the National Gimhae Forest Experience Center.
This agreement was prepared to successfully establish the Gimhae Forest Experience Center through multifaceted cooperation among the three parties. The Gimhae Forest Experience Center will be developed by the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute under the Forest Service, investing 20 billion KRW of Green Fund from 2021 to 2024 on 100 hectares of national forest land located at San 138, Geumdongsan foothills, Daegam-ri, Sangdong-myeon.
According to the agreement, Gimhae City will support infrastructure such as access roads to the Forest Experience Center and water and sewage systems, the Southern Regional Forest Service will provide the national forest land for the establishment of the Gimhae Forest Experience Center, and the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute will strive for timely completion of the project and activation of local community forest experience and education.
The Forest Experience Center is a specialized educational and recreational facility in the forestry sector that supports customized activities such as forest education, healing, experience, accommodation, and forest leisure sports, promoting health through various facilities and programs.
