The KBO League All-Star Game is the league's biggest festival where the best players gather in one place. It has been held every year without fail since its inaugural year in 1982 until last year, but this year, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the league opening was delayed by more than a month, and the All-Star Game scheduled for July 25 was unable to take place.
To ease the disappointment and support fans who continue to cheer for the KBO League despite the difficult conditions of games without spectators, Shinhan Bank and the KBO conducted All-Star voting and an untact All-Star race for a month starting in August. The donation linked to the number of All-Star voting participants was donated to the Korean Red Cross to help neighbors suffering from COVID-19.
