[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The process to appoint the next president of the Korea Non-Life Insurance Association has officially begun.
According to the insurance industry on the 21st, the Korea Non-Life Insurance Association held the first meeting of the President Recommendation Committee (PRC) this morning to decide the schedule for selecting the next association president.
The PRC chairman is Kim Jeong-nam, Vice Chairman of DB Insurance. The PRC members consist of eight people, including representatives from six directors companies: Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, DB Insurance, Hanwha General Insurance, Lotte Insurance, and Korean Re, as well as external recommended members such as Jang Dong-han, President of the Insurance Society, and Seong Ju-ho, President of the Risk Management Society.

The PRC plans to hold its second meeting on the 27th to receive candidate recommendations. Once the candidate pool is finalized, the next president will be elected through a vote at the general meeting of member companies. President Kim Yong-duk's term expires on the 5th of next month.
