Naver Invests in Two Robot Startups Including Dementia Prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver's startup incubation organization D2SF announced on the 20th that it has invested in two robot startups.
The investment targets are 'Y.Dots,' which develops dementia prevention solutions using robots, and 'SafeTics,' which is developing safety analysis and diagnostic solutions for collaborative robots.
Y.Dots provides programs such as emotional stimulation, cognitive therapy, art, exercise, music therapy, and speech therapy to aid cognitive rehabilitation using its self-developed parrot robot 'Pio.'
SafeTics is developing solutions that analyze and diagnose the safety of collaborative robots and propose optimal motions. It not only evaluates robot safety in real time but also possesses motion control technology that can prevent accidents.
Yang Sanghwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, "These are technology startups that consider how people and robots can coexist in daily life. Each has focused on the interaction between humans and robots from the perspectives of safety and cognitive rehabilitation, creating new value," adding, "We expect them to grow solidly with well-rounded technological and business capabilities."
