GS25 Launches 'National Park Lunchbox Series' Featuring Local Specialties
First Release in the Series: Introducing the 'Sobaeksan Danyang Garlic Bulgogi' Lunchbox
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] GS Retail’s convenience store GS25 announced on the 20th that it will collaborate with the Korea National Park Service to launch the ‘National Park Dosirak’ series.
This National Park Dosirak series was planned reflecting the concept of the eco-friendly lunchbox service ‘Take Care of My Dosirak,’ which operates in 21 national parks nationwide. The main menu of the lunchbox uses local specialty ingredients, and the origin of local agricultural products is indicated, giving each product a unique story.
The Korea National Park Service’s ‘Take Care of My Dosirak’ is an eco-friendly lunchbox delivery service where customers can pre-order lunchboxes 2 to 3 days before their visit and receive them in reusable containers at designated locations at the trailhead. It has been operating since September 2018 for tourists visiting 21 national parks across the country, including Sobaeksan, Naejangsan, Gyeryongsan, Jirisan, and Seoraksan.
The first release in the GS25 National Park Dosirak series is the ‘Sobaeksan Danyang Garlic Bulgogi,’ featuring 100g of garlic bulgogi made with Danyang garlic from the Sobaeksan area, topped with 5 whole Danyang garlic cloves on the bulgogi. It includes fresh lettuce kimchi and a tangy sauce to embody the lush green image of the national parks. The price is 4,800 won.

Customers who purchase one ‘Sobaeksan Danyang Garlic Bulgogi’ dosirak and one regular dosirak and then press the application button will receive a board game featuring national parks nationwide (limited to 3,100 people) and a ‘Bandari Bag Hanger’ doll, the character of the national parks (limited to 1,900 people), randomly and on a 100% first-come, first-served basis.
