Hyundai Premium Outlet Space One Opens Industry's Largest 'Pet Park'
Opening of 400-Pyeong Pet Park 'Hwindy House' on the Rooftop of Space One Building B, 3rd Floor
Introducing a Total Pet Care Shop Featuring a Pet-Only Kindergarten and Swimming Pool
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Hyundai Department Store will open the industry's largest dedicated pet park at 'Hyundai Premium Outlet Space One,' which opens on the 6th of next month in Dasan New Town, Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
On the 20th, Hyundai Department Store announced that it will open a 1,322㎡ (400-pyeong) pet park called ‘Heendy House’ on the rooftop garden of the 3rd floor of Building B within Hyundai Premium Outlet Space One. ‘Heendy’ is a playful dog character developed by Hyundai Department Store in March last year.
The size of Heendy House is the largest among pet parks operated by domestic distribution companies. It includes playgrounds separated for medium and small dogs, tables where pets and owners can enjoy meals together, photo zones, drinking fountains, and other convenience facilities. To celebrate the opening, unique events such as a one-day pet etiquette class by pet expert veterinarian Seol Chae-hyun and an agility demonstration by professional pet sitters are planned.
Hyundai Department Store will also introduce ‘Coco Square,’ a premium total pet care shop with an area of 674㎡ (204-pyeong) on the 1st floor of Building B, where Heendy House is located. Coco Square is characterized by dedicating more than 70% of the space to pet care facilities, including a pet kindergarten, swimming pool, spa, and hotel.
The kindergarten is staffed with professionals such as pet behavior correctionists and pet managers who provide programs to correct problem behaviors like ‘dog fitness (obesity management)’ and ‘socialization,’ as well as stress relief through play. Additionally, there is a swimming pool where pets can enjoy water play and receive aqua therapy (underwater exercise), and a hotel where pets can be entrusted 24 hours a day.
Furthermore, Coco Square will feature a pet supplies store selling premium products such as pet beds costing over 1 million won, and pet car seats famous as overseas direct purchase items. Representative brands include the American pet carrier specialist brand ‘Mosiqua,’ German pet furniture brand ‘Miakara,’ premium pet car seat brand ‘Nowwee,’ and Italian jewelry brand ‘Dogfever,’ inspired by pets.
