Tourism Industry Job Fair... Online Event Until the 20th of Next Month
Participation of 98 Tourism Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The "2020 Tourism Industry Job Fair," hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and jointly organized by 11 tourism-related associations including the Korea Tourism Organization and the Korea Hotel Association, is being held online until November 20.
Marking its 7th year, the Tourism Industry Job Fair features participation from 98 companies in the tourism sector, including hotel businesses, travel agencies, resorts, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and tourism ventures.
To help job seekers find future-oriented tourism industry jobs, a "Recruitment Information Center" is also operated. To provide practical support to the tourism industry suffering from management difficulties due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the fair is linked with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's "Youth Work Experience Support Project." Tourism companies hiring job seekers at the fair will receive hiring subsidies (880,000 KRW per month per youth based on 40 hours per week) and support for producing corporate promotional videos.
To offer practical assistance to job seekers preparing for employment, one-on-one video consultations with professional employment counselors and workplace seniors will be conducted from November 9 at the "Employment Information Center." Detailed information can be found on the fair’s dedicated website (www.tourjobfair.com).
