Chungnam, Regular Inspection of Environmental Pollutant Emission Facilities
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province announced on the 19th that it will conduct the "2020 Second Half Environmental Substance Emission Facility Regular Inspection" from the 19th of this month until the end of next month.
The regular inspection is being promoted to prevent violations such as unauthorized air dilution and wastewater discharge by emission businesses within Chungnam.
During the inspection period, the province will form joint inspection teams with each city and county and private experts to check the environmental substance emission status of 80 sites, including complaint facilities, agro-industrial complexes, and priority management targets among pollutant-emitting businesses.
The main inspection items include compliance with emission and prevention facility installation permits (reports) and change permits (reports).
Previously, the province conducted a special crackdown on environmental pollution activities during the summer season targeting these businesses, detecting 14 violations and taking legal actions such as improvement orders, fines, and excess emission charges according to the violations.
