Luxury Padded Jackets Combining Warmth and Fashion... Department Stores' Best-Selling Item
Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch Avenuel, Additional Brands Entering
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch Avenuel is selling premium padding and fur brands ahead of winter.
Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch Avenuel announced on the 19th that it will open year-round stores of Canada’s ‘Canada Goose’, Italian fur select shop brand ‘Ketilang’, padding brand ‘Tatras’, Italy’s ‘Duno’, ‘Patray’, and premium imported fur select shop brand ‘Blue Male’ within this month.
Jamsil Branch Avenuel holds the most brands as standalone stores rather than select shops. It also operates year-round stores of eight brands including France’s ‘Moncler’, Canada’s ‘Nobis’, ‘Moose Knuckles’, ‘Mackage’, Italy’s ‘Parajumpers’, and ‘Duvetica’. From the 19th to the 25th, customers who make purchases will receive brand-specific appreciation gifts for one week.
The domestic premium outerwear market is steadily growing. Since the winter of 2018-2019, premium padding has consistently gained popularity as a winter fashion item with the advantage of timeless designs. In particular, ‘Moncler’, a representative of overseas luxury padding, recorded a 19% sales growth in the 2019 fall/winter (FW) season and a 39% increase in sales in the first half of this year.

Kim Jae-beom, manager of Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch, said, “Premium padding is expected to be popular again this winter as both a cold-weather and fashion item,” adding, “Following the non-face-to-face (untact) consumption trend, purchases are available both online and offline, and we hope for much interest from customers preparing for winter.”
