On the same day, Joo appeared on 'MBN Jeong Un-gap's In-depth Analysis (Current Affairs Special)' and said, "So far, protests outside the Assembly have often meant giving up on parliamentary struggle, but we will do our best inside the Assembly. However, if that does not work, we are also considering appealing directly to the public."
The People Power Party is demanding a special prosecutor investigation into the Lime and Optimus fraud cases. Joo said, "We are not engaging in political strife; we are simply demanding a proper investigation. However, the Democratic Party is trying to turn this into a political conflict by saying it is a trivial matter and that the documents are fake, which is much worse," adding, "The means to enforce a special prosecutor is a parliamentary resolution, but as you can see, we only have 103 members." This indicates that protests outside the Assembly are being considered as an alternative.
He also said, "We have formed and are operating a task force, and we have received two to three important tips," adding, "First of all, Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae came to the National Assembly and answered that the documents themselves are fake, which is already problematic."
He continued, "She said she could not comment on her own or other cases because they are under investigation, but this case has not even reached a mid-term conclusion yet, and she is already calling it fake. That response seems intentional, which makes me think so."
Regarding rumors of conflict with Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman, he dismissed them, saying, "There is absolutely no conflict between me and him." Joo explained, "If conflict means being uncomfortable with each other and fighting, then there is none at all. However, not everyone can have the same opinion on current issues."
Regarding the appointment of the by-election planning team leader, he said, "It is not a clash of opinions. The secretary-general told me who he would appoint, but he submitted the agenda without explaining the process of the change to me, so I just scolded the secretary-general."
