Kyungbok University Secures Outstanding Talent... 300,000 KRW Scholarship for Early Admission Successful Applicants
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University announced that for the 2021 academic year early admission AI interview applicants, those who complete preliminary registration after initial acceptance will receive a 300,000 KRW deposit as a scholarship when they complete the final registration.
Additionally, students who complete preliminary registration as early admission successful applicants will be prioritized for selection as candidates for the 4th Industrial Talent Scholarship and receive scholarship support.
Kyungbok University stated on the 18th that despite the difficult financial situation of the university, it decided to provide scholarships to early admission successful applicants in order to attract outstanding talent amid the rapid decline in the school-age population and admission resources.
Kyungbok University is making generous investments in its enrolled students.
In 2019, it provided scholarships totaling 25.9 billion KRW annually, the largest scale among metropolitan area universities, with 93% of enrolled students receiving various scholarship benefits.
Also, in response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, to reduce the tuition burden on enrolled students, the university granted a 'Post COVID-19 Special Scholarship' by reducing 16% of tuition fees for the second semester for all students.
Kyungbok University was selected as an autonomous improvement university in the 2018 Ministry of Education Basic University Competency Diagnosis Evaluation and achieved first place in integrated employment rates among metropolitan universities (with over 2,000 graduates) for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019.
