[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] According to the Central Regional Coast Guard Headquarters on the 17th, at around 1 p.m. that day, a 4.59-ton South Korean transport vessel briefly crossed north of the Northern Limit Line (NLL) near Udo, about 11.4 km northwest of Yeonpyeongdo, Ongjin-gun, Incheon, before immediately returning.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff also acknowledged, "At around 1 p.m. today, a small South Korean fishing boat mistakenly crossed the NLL east of Yeonpyeong and then returned."
The Navy, upon discovering the vessel had crossed north of the NLL, immediately informed the Coast Guard, and the ship promptly returned to South Korean waters.

The vessel remained north of the NLL for just over 10 minutes, and there were no unusual activities reported from the North Korean military at that time.
