Yuhan-Kimberly Ranks First 10 Times in Household Goods Category... Inducted into Hall of Fame

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association (President Lee Sang-jin) announced on the 16th that it held the '2020 Korea Sustainability Conference' at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul. At this conference, attended by 20 companies and over 100 participants, awards were presented in three categories: the 'Korea Sustainability Index (KSI)', the 'Korea Sustainability Report Award (KRCA)', and the 'Korea Sustainable Management CEO Award' to outstanding companies and executives.
KSI is the largest stakeholder-based survey in Korea evaluating corporate sustainability. This year, 414 experts and 25,650 stakeholders participated in the survey. Yuhan-Kimberly was selected as the number one company in the household goods sector for a total of 10 times and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In addition, Kyobo Life Insurance, Shinhan Card, Incheon International Airport Corporation, Shinhan Bank, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, Ssangyong Cement, POSCO, Korea District Heating Corporation, POSCO Construction, and POSCO International were selected as number one companies, while KCC, Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Hotel Lotte, and Lotte Home Shopping received the honor of winning for the first time.
KRCA is a system that evaluates sustainability reports based on global standards for sustainability reporting. This year, 10 excellent reports were selected through a total of 2,935 evaluations of 126 sustainability reports published domestically. DGB Financial Group was selected as an excellent company for a total of 10 times and was the first to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the KRCA category. Yuhan-Kimberly, KT, KCC, Kyobo Life Insurance, Shinhan Financial Group, POSCO, SK, and POSCO Energy were also selected as excellent companies.
The Korea Sustainable Management CEO Award was selected by evaluating CEOs on their sustainability management philosophy, commitment, policies, and achievements. This year, the awardees were Choi Kyu-bok, President of Yuhan-Kimberly; Lee Wan-shin, President of Lotte Home Shopping; and Ju Si-bo, President of POSCO International.
