Tmon Opens Public Recruitment for New MDs in Second Half... Hiring 'Double-Digit' Numbers
Operation of the 'Sushihyeong Gongchae' System, Average 2 Weeks from Document Screening to Employment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won) announced on the 16th that it will begin open recruitment for new product planners (MDs) on a double-digit scale. The recruitment will be conducted through a 'rolling open recruitment' system, allowing candidates to join as soon as one week after submitting their documents, aiming to increase applicant satisfaction and minimize infection risks.
The recruitment targets new MDs responsible for product sourcing across all categories, including ▲home appliances ▲food ▲fashion ▲living, corresponding to the 6th TMT (TMON MD Track) cohort. The number of recruits is in the double digits, and applications can be submitted through the TMON recruitment website until the 25th of this month.
This recruitment will follow the 'rolling open recruitment' method first implemented by TMON in June. Documents are reviewed immediately upon submission, and suitable candidates are individually notified and interviewed, reducing the average duration of the open recruitment process from over a month to two weeks, or as fast as one week. This accelerated schedule not only reduces unnecessary waiting time for applicants but also eliminates group interviews held on specific days, thereby lowering infection risks.
Strict quarantine measures are also observed. TMON plans to provide interviewees with a 'COVID-19 safety kit' consisting of hand sanitizer and masks. Health conditions will be thoroughly checked through temperature measurement and health questionnaires before interviews. Although over 2,000 applicants applied for the new MD recruitment conducted in June, the process was safely completed without a single infection case.
If remote work is implemented during the recruitment process, it will switch to a 'virtual onboarding system.' This method conducts all stages from interviews to department placement and job commencement remotely, with necessary IT equipment shipped directly to the candidate's home. This is TMON's unique onboarding process designed to minimize uncertainties in recruitment amid the COVID-19 situation.
