Daekyo Selects 6 Winners for the 29th Noonopi Education Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Daekyo Group announced on the 16th that the Daekyo Cultural Foundation has finalized the recipients of the '29th Noonopi Education Award.'
The recipients of this year's Noonopi Education Award are ▲ Song Jaehwan, teacher at Dongsan Elementary School (Elementary Education) ▲ Lee Jongmun, teacher at Namnyeong High School (Secondary Education) ▲ Moon Wonja, director of Busanjin Kindergarten (Early Childhood Education) ▲ Jeong Minho, principal of Sejong Nuri School (Special Education) ▲ Kim Kyungok, principal of Ansan Yongsin School (Lifelong Education) ▲ Oh Jeongseonmi, professor at Drexel University (Global Education), totaling six individuals.
Song Jaehwan, the awardee in the elementary education category, was recognized for developing and distributing a classical reading program for all students. Moon Wonja, director in the early childhood education category, contributed to the advancement of early childhood education by working to improve the treatment of teachers in both public and private kindergartens. Other recipients also played significant roles in educational development through various activities in their respective fields.

The Noonopi Education Award honors teachers who strive for genuine educational development in the field. The award ceremony will be held at the end of next month. Each recipient will receive a prize of 15 million KRW and a plaque, and their affiliated schools or institutions will be separately donated educational equipment worth approximately 5 million KRW.
