Lee Eungsun (mother), who was adopted to the United States after going missing 44 years ago, is taking off her mask for a video call with Yoon Sang-ae (American name Dennis McCarty) on the morning of the 15th at the Missing Persons Family Support Center of the Dongdaemun-gu Police Agency in Seoul. This reunion is the first case of confirming biological relationships with families in Korea by collecting and analyzing the adoptee's DNA at overseas diplomatic missions through the 'Overseas Korean Adoptee Family Search' system. Due to difficulties in immigration procedures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the families reunited via non-face-to-face video calls, and they plan to meet in person once the COVID-19 situation stabilizes. /Reporter Moon Honam munonam@
