Martial Arts, '2020 China-Korea Business Recruitment Fair' Held in Shanghai
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Shanghai branch of the Korea International Trade Association held the '2020 Korea-China Business Recruitment Fair' on the 16th at the Shanghai Talent Center in Shanghai.
The event was organized to provide excellent recruitment opportunities to Korean companies in China struggling with hiring due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and to support employment for young workers in both Korea and China. It attracted great interest, with over 1,000 job seekers registering to participate. On the day of the fair, about 450 people visited the venue to conduct job consultations and interviews with 48 Korean companies in China across more than 30 sectors including overseas marketing, trade and distribution, manufacturing and production, and finance and accounting.
Notably, 76 Korean language major graduates expected to graduate from five universities?Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Ocean University, Shanghai Maritime University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance?participated as a group.
The Shanghai branch of the Trade Association supported some job seekers who had difficulty attending in person due to COVID-19 with online matching. In line with the emerging untact trend, they also set up an 'AI Interview Experience Center' using the video interview system and AI interview solutions from the Chinese AI interview specialist company Haina Power. Job seekers evaluated it as "a great opportunity to directly experience the still unfamiliar AI recruitment system."
