Gokseong-gun Emergency Livelihood Support for Households in Crisis Due to Prolonged COVID-19
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 15th that it will provide emergency livelihood support funds of up to 1 million KRW to households in crisis struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Certain conditions must be met to receive this emergency livelihood support.
The criteria are that household income must have decreased by 25% or more due to COVID-19, and the total income of all household members must be 75% or less of the standard median income. Additionally, households with assets exceeding 300 million KRW are not eligible.
Recipients of other welfare programs are also excluded from support. This includes those receiving basic livelihood benefits or emergency livelihood benefits, emergency employment stabilization funds, Small Business New Hope Funds, closed store re-challenge incentives, worker employment retention support funds, participants in the youth special employment support program, and job-seeker allowance recipients.
The payment amount varies depending on the number of household members. Single-person households can receive 400,000 KRW, two-person households 600,000 KRW, three-person households 800,000 KRW, and households with four or more members can receive 1 million KRW. The support funds will be paid once in cash to the account applied for between November and December.
To receive the support funds, applicants must either apply online through the Bokjiro website by the 30th or visit their local eup/myeon office to apply in person from the 19th to the 30th.
Gokseong-gun plans to form a crisis household emergency livelihood support TF team to ensure the emergency livelihood support project is carried out swiftly.
