Regarding Conservative Group Rally: "They Act According to Their Own Ways"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 15th, Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, dismissed reports that he asked Kim Dong-yeon, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance, about his intention to run for Seoul mayor, saying, "I have no need to ask former Deputy Prime Minister Kim such a thing, and I have never met or contacted him."
After the Emergency Committee meeting that day, Kim told reporters, "Since he has not expressed any intention, we cannot talk about recruitment or anything like that."
Regarding criticism that there is no winning candidate for Seoul mayor within the party, Kim said, "Many things that are completely different from the facts are coming out in newspaper articles," and added, "I try not to comment on that as much as possible."
