Seongbuk Youth Citizens Gathering 'Hospitality for All of Us' Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will hold the ‘2020 Seongbuk Youth Citizen Gathering: Hospitality for All of Us’ online on the 24th to comfort young people exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

This event aims to provide a space for communication and healing for local youth and will be held in two parts this year: ▲Part 1 - Picnic Concert ▲Part 2 - Seongbuk Youth Talk Concert.

The live performances will be broadcast in real-time on YouTube, and participants can join the online conversation by accessing the Zoom chat room through an invitation link applied for in advance.

In Part 1 of the ‘Seongbuk Youth Citizen Gathering,’ live performances by Fun City, Gugak In Gayo, Nina, and 678 Band will be featured, along with introductions to youth activity organizations in Seongbuk (Seongbuk Youth Space, Mujungryeokjidae-Seongbuk, Youth Connection Center - Lifeline Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Youth Life Development Center). Following this, Part 2 will provide a time for young people to share their own stories and exchange new narratives that have not received much attention before.

Those wishing to participate must apply online in advance and receive a ‘Picnic Information Kit,’ then access the event via the provided link on the day of the event (October 24).

Participation is also possible through the YouTube channel ‘Seongbuk Youth Citizen Gathering.’

A Seongbuk-gu official stated, “We hope for much interest and participation from local youth in the 2020 Seongbuk Youth Citizen Gathering: Hospitality for All of Us. We expect this event to reopen the communication space that has been restricted due to social distancing and to offer comfort and encouragement to young people.”
