Gwangju COVID-19 Cases Near 500... One Local Infection and One Overseas Arrival Confirmed

The total number of confirmed cases reached 499, bringing the count close to 500.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 12th, following one locally transmitted case confirmed after 12 days on the previous day, two additional cases were confirmed on the same day.
The case classified as Gwangju 498 was an overseas entrant who arrived from the United States and was confirmed positive through testing conducted while quarantined at the Fire Academy dormitory.

Case 499 is a resident of Dongmyeong-dong, Dong-gu, identified as a contact of case 497, who was confirmed positive the day before. The infection route of case 497 is currently under investigation.
