Towards the Leading Role in 10 Years: "Support the 2030 Busan World Expo Bid"
Submit Expo Hosting Support Videos by the End of December
Open to Elementary, Middle, High School, and University Students... 30 Winners to Receive Gift Certificates
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City is holding an online event called the "Expo Hosting Support Relay Campaign" together with the 2030 Busan World Expo Citizen Hosting Committee to increase students' understanding and interest in the Expo, as they will be the future leaders.
The campaign is promoted as a citizen participation content to support the hosting of the 2030 Expo. Participation is done by filming a support video message for the Expo hosting.
The target participants are elementary, middle, high school, and university students. To participate, submit a support video file under 3 minutes, filmed by the participant, via email to the hosting committee.
Submitted videos will be comprehensively reviewed within 7 days after receipt to decide selection based on the passion and will for hosting the 2030 World Expo in Busan. Videos containing inappropriate language or content against common sense will be excluded.
Busan City will select 30 participants by the end of the year and provide gift certificates worth about 30,000 KRW. The support videos will be posted on six Expo hosting social networking services (SNS) including Facebook, Twitter, Naver Blog, Instagram, YouTube, and KakaoTalk.
Busan City also plans to encourage participation in the support relay campaign not only from future generation citizens but also from various institution heads, Busan city council members, and representatives of Busan-based companies.
