Genesis awarded player Kim Tae-hoon (35), who won with a final total of 6-under-par 282 over 4 rounds, a prize money of 300 million KRW, a large sports utility vehicle (SUV) Genesis GV80, and entry rights to the 2021 Genesis Invitational and the 2020 The CJ Cup at Shadow Creek.
In the final round of the tournament, Park Jung-min (27) from Gangnam JS Hospital recorded a hole-in-one on the 13th hole and received a G80 as a prize.
The 2020 Genesis Championship attracted attention with the largest prize money scale in the KPGA Korean Tour and the participation of major players representing Korean men's golf, such as Yang Yong-eun and Moon Kyung-jun. A Genesis official said, "This tournament, held without spectators due to the impact of COVID-19, was successfully completed thanks to the great play of the players and the interest shown by the untact gallery over the four days," and added, "The Genesis brand will continue to be a strong supporter for the development of Korean men's golf."
