[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Dongdaemun-gu Children and Youth Council (Chairperson Suhyun Park) will hold the '2020 Dongdaemun-gu Children and Youth Policy Proposal Contest' for children and youth in the area to listen to their voices and ensure that policies based on them are reflected in administration.
This proposal contest, under the theme "Dongdaemun-gu Changing through Children and Youth Participation," will select policy proposals and improvement plans freely suggested in fields related to children and youth activities and the Dongdaemun-gu community, such as culture and arts, safety, human rights, daily life, and education.
Any children and youth residing in Dongdaemun-gu or attending schools located in Dongdaemun-gu can participate in the proposals. Those who wish to participate should complete the application form posted on the website of the Dongdaemun Youth Center by the 22nd and submit it via email to the person in charge (ddmy1478@naver.com).
Up to 10 teams that pass the preliminary document screening will participate in the finals on October 31, where they will present their proposed policies. Among the finalists, 1 grand prize team, 2 excellence award teams, and 3 merit award teams will be selected.

The selected proposals will be submitted to the next year's resident participation budget after approval by the Dongdaemun-gu Children and Youth Council plenary session to be reflected in practical policies.
