On the 9th (Korean time), at the Summerlin TPC in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (par 71, 7,243 yards), the first day of the PGA Tour Shriners Children's Open (total prize money $7 million) kicked off, and DeChambeau surged with a 9-under-par to dominate the top of the leaderboard. Afterwards, he added a '1-on 2-putt' birdie on the 7th hole (par 4) and another birdie on the final 9th hole (par 5). His average driving distance was an impressive 352.5 yards. His fairway hit rate of 78.57% and greens in regulation rate of 88.89% also stood out. This marks his 8th career win following last month's major US Open victory.

From Korea, Kim Si-woo (25, CJ Logistics) recorded six birdies and two bogeys, sharing 32nd place (4-under-par 67) along with Im Sung-jae (22, CJ Logistics). Kang Sung-hoon (CJ Logistics) started tied for 59th place (3-under-par 68). On the other hand, An Byeong-hun (29, CJ Logistics) is tied for 86th place (2-under-par 69), 'Tank' Choi Kyung-ju (50, SK Telecom) tied for 106th place (1-under-par 70), and Lee Kyung-hoon (29, CJ Logistics) is tied for 127th place (1-over-par 72), facing a tough path.
