Imsil-gun Operates Non-Face-to-Face Program for Dementia Safety Village Recipients
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 8th, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced that due to the spread and prolongation of the COVID-19 infectious disease, group programs have been suspended and will be operated as non-face-to-face programs.
The county will conduct the "Wise Bean Sprout Growing" non-face-to-face program with about 40 elderly residents of Galmari Village, Imsil-eup, a dementia-safe village.
The "Wise Bean Sprout Growing" non-face-to-face program targets elderly people aged 65 and over, including solitary dementia patients and dementia patients who are couples.
Bean sprout growing can be easily cultivated indoors and is effective in alleviating the psychological loneliness of the elderly and preventing cognitive decline.
During a time when outdoor activities are difficult due to COVID-19, it can help provide psychological stability by relieving anxiety about refraining from going out and offering small tasks.
