Muan-gun Operates 'Public Buses' 28 Times Daily for Local Residents
Circulation from 7 AM through Samhyang, Namak, Oryong, and Illo
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 8th that starting from the 12th, a public bus will operate in the Oryong district of Illo-eup and nearby areas with poor transportation conditions.
The public bus project is a new initiative launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2020 to discover new routes and alleviate transportation inconveniences for residents by providing national subsidies to areas without public transportation or with poor transportation conditions.
This route circulates from the Oryong district through Namak Middle and High Schools, commercial facilities, and public service institutions, to Samhyang-eup Office and Illo-eup Office, operating 28 times a day at 25-minute intervals from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
With this opening, accessibility from the Oryong district to the Namak area and nearby administrative offices such as Illo-eup and Samhyang-eup Offices has improved, making it more convenient to use new city hospitals, commercial, and cultural facilities.
Passengers using city buses toward Mokpo can transfer at the Hoeryong Village transfer point to routes 1, 20, 60, and 800 heading to Mokpo City.
