K-water and Seoul City Sign MOU for Discovering Innovative Water Industry Technologies and Overseas Expansion Cooperation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Water Resources Corporation signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Discovery and Nurturing of Innovative Water Industry Technologies" with the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 8th to promote innovative growth in the water industry.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint cooperation to enhance national water welfare and develop the water industry ▲ contributing to economic revitalization by discovering excellent companies in the water sector ▲ collaboration on joint discovery, field verification, and joint purchasing of outstanding water industry technologies and products ▲ exchange of new technologies in the water sector and joint research.
Through this agreement, Korea Water Resources Corporation and Seoul City plan to cooperate in discovering and nurturing outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises in the water sector, developing new technologies and products, supporting market expansion, and jointly entering overseas water markets.
A "Water Industry Innovative Growth Working Council" will be formed, centered on practical workers from both organizations, to conduct detailed discussions in the areas of venture nurturing, technology development, and market support.

Park Jae-hyun, President of Korea Water Resources Corporation, stated, "The cooperation between the two organizations, which are responsible for 65% of the domestic water supply facility capacity, will serve as an opportunity to revitalize the domestic water industry," adding, "As a specialized water management institution, we will do our best to develop green new deal innovative technologies in the water environment sector and create jobs."
