Welcome Savings Bank, Up to 6% Special Savings Promotion to Celebrate Pro Billiards Victory
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Welcome Savings Bank announced on the 8th that it will launch a special sale product of Welcome First Transaction Preferential Time Deposit Savings, offering up to 6% annual interest rate in celebration of the PBA Championship 2020 victory by Frederic Caudron (Belgium), captain of the PBA professional billiards team Welbang Phoenix.
Frederic Caudron, known as the "Emperor of 3-Cushion," brought the first trophy to the newly established Welbang Phoenix team of Welcome Savings Bank. He was recorded as the first player to win the second championship in PBA history.
The savings sale period is for five days from the 12th to the 16th. A total of 10,000 accounts will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, 2,000 accounts each day starting at 9 a.m.
The basic interest rate is 3.2% per annum. A preferential interest rate of 1.0 percentage point per annum is provided when making 8 or more deposits through the Welcome Savings Bank free deposit and withdrawal account during the contract period, and an additional 1.8 percentage points per annum is offered when maintaining an average balance of 500,000 KRW or more in the free deposit and withdrawal account. Adding a total of 2.8 percentage points in preferential interest rates, an interest rate of 6.0% can be expected. The monthly deposit amount is up to 300,000 KRW, and the contract period is a single 12-month term.
This product is sold to customers who have no prior subscription history to savings or time deposits at this savings bank. Customers within 30 days from their first subscription date among Welcome Savings Bank products are also eligible to apply.
