According to Mokpo Coast Guard Station (Chief Jung Young-jin) on the 8th, at 11:41 p.m. on the 7th, a report was received that crew member A (61 years old) of the coastal composite fishing vessel J (9.77 tons, Mokpo-registered, 6 crew members) suddenly showed paralysis symptoms starting from his left shoulder and collapsed while hauling nets 18 km west of Jaeundo, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard immediately dispatched the Sinan Police Substation coastal rescue boat, met vessel J at sea near Jaeundo, took the patient on board, and arrived at Amtaedo Odo Pier at 1:46 a.m., handing over the patient to the waiting 119 ambulance team.
With the Coast Guard's assistance, A was urgently transported to a hospital in Mokpo and is currently receiving treatment.
