Gwangju Seo-gu Supports 'Bathing Service' for People with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 7th that it will promote the ‘Refreshing Bath Service Ppodeudeuk’ project to improve health and hygiene for the disabled until January next year.
This project was prepared to promote emotional health and recovery for disabled people with poor bathing facilities at home, aiming to establish an integrated welfare foundation in Seo-gu where disabled people can live happily and well.
The project, named ‘Refreshing Bath Service Ppodeudeuk,’ is promoted with the support of Baegun Nursing Hospital (Director Kim Jinwoo) and Gwangju Circulation Road Investment Co., Ltd. & Gwangju Circulation Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Younghoon).
The bathing service, carried out by the Gwangju Seo-gu Disabled Welfare Center, is held at Cheonsu Hot Springs on the first and third Thursdays, and at Hwajeong Sauna on the second and fourth Wednesdays.
This disabled bathing service support project was planned to solve hygiene problems caused by physical and mental disabilities and to help blood circulation, and it is expected to assist disabled people in maintaining clean hygiene and healthy physical activity.
Seo-gu plans to ensure safe bathing services through thorough quarantine rules, operating by advance reservation to prevent COVID-19.
