On the 7th, the Korea Freedom Patriotic Corps and others held a press conference in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, announcing that they would file charges against Police Commissioner Kim Chang-ryong, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Chief Jang Ha-yeon, and Jongno Police Station Chief Park Gyu-seok for abuse of authority, and against Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency Director Jeong Eun-kyung, Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung, Gwacheon Mayor Kim Jong-cheon, and Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi for neglect of duty.
They claimed, "Commissioner Kim and others abused their authority by blocking access to Gwanghwamun Square on National Foundation Day, making it difficult for citizens to pass through."
