'KBS Radio Gokgwaegi Rampage' 40s Male, "Deeply Reflecting" in First Trial
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Mr. A, a man in his 40s who was indicted for breaking the glass window of the KBS radio studio's exterior wall with a pickaxe, admitted all charges at his first trial, saying he "deeply regrets" his actions.
At the first hearing held on the 7th under the presiding of Judge Kwon Young-hye of the Seoul Southern District Court Criminal Division 14, A's defense attorney stated, "We acknowledge the prosecution's charges and deeply regret them," adding, "We also agree with all the evidence." After being indicted, Mr. A submitted several letters of apology to the court.
On August 5th, Mr. A was arrested in flagrante delicto after breaking the glass window of the public radio hall studio exterior wall in front of the KBS headquarters in Yeouido with a pickaxe, disrupting a live radio broadcast and causing a disturbance.
