Mapo-gu Launches Korea's First Mobile Administrative System 'Mobile MyMapo'
Based on Mobile Portability and Speed, Access Gujeong Tasks Anytime, Anywhere... Used for Work Notices, Alert Rooms, Employee and Task Search, Building Security Checks... Real-Time Task Status Sharing via Push Notification Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) is the first in the nation to operate the mobile administrative service 'Mobile MyMapo,' which incorporates Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
The Mobile MyMapo service is a system that utilizes the portability and quick accessibility of mobile devices to allow access to district administration anytime and anywhere for work purposes.
The most notable feature is its ability to enable rapid and proactive civil complaint handling and on-site work execution even in special situations such as various disaster scenarios or the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The system's main functions include major work notices, work notification rooms, group contact networks, organizational charts and employee task searches, and building security inspections. It also supports push notification services between individuals and groups, allowing urgent matters or work content to be shared and checked in real time anytime and anywhere.
Employees of Mapo-gu are expected to improve work efficiency by enabling rapid situation dissemination during disaster situations or urgent work communications through this system.
Additionally, it can be used for security inspection tasks such as fire inspections and various facility checks within the building. Since security inspection records are automatically logged using smartphones, it can be utilized for building patrols and inspection activities during final departure after work or during shifts such as day or night duty.
Mapo-gu's mobile administrative service is highly regarded as a smart administrative system built in a form applicable to actual work, with innovative ideas directly proposed by district employees to improve inconveniences encountered during work performance.
It is noteworthy that in the post-COVID era emphasizing non-face-to-face and contactless interactions, this system can be expanded horizontally to local governments nationwide as well as elementary, middle, and high schools.
The district plans to encourage all employees to actively use this system and ensure that the effects continue through improved civil service quality and work process enhancement.
The district is providing this system for use on Android-based smart devices in August and iOS-based devices in September.
Mayor Yudonggyun of Mapo-gu said, “This is the result of considering how to handle work more efficiently and avoid wasting administrative resources,” adding, “We will ensure that all employees actively use it in their work with the goal of improving the quality of administrative services for residents.”
