Gwangju City and Jeonnam Province to Hold Joint Online Job Fair Starting from the 7th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeonnam Province announced that they will hold the '2020 Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City Relocated Public Institutions Online Joint Recruitment Briefing Session' from the 7th to November 30th.
This online briefing session will feature participation from 12 companies including Korea Electric Power Corporation, the largest public enterprise in Korea, Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Creative Content Agency, and 102 nationwide relocated public institutions, providing employment information to job seekers in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region.
Participating companies will introduce recruitment systems and open campus information for each relocated public institution through the official online recruitment briefing site, offer expert lectures on the National Competency Standards (NCS), provide videos explaining recruitment guidelines by recruitment officers of each institution, and operate Q&A rooms with recruitment officers.
Additionally, vivid recruitment information and information exchange content such as vlogs (VLOG) from seniors who joined public institutions, self-introduction letter consulting, and employment support programs will be provided.
Public institutions relocated to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City have been expanding the mandatory local talent recruitment rate by more than 3% annually since 2018, starting with a target rate of 18%, following the legislation of mandatory local talent recruitment for relocated public institutions in innovation cities, and plan to fill more than 30% with local talent by 2022.
Last year, the local talent recruitment rate of public institutions relocated to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City was 24.6%, with a total of 396 people hired as local talent, exceeding the target rate of 21%.
